Levada-running
A more challenging run on small trails with rocky parts, steps and roots. Up- and down we will gather some minor meters in altitude.
A levada is a small water gutter which brings water from the north to the south of the island. We will run along it. A levada has a gradient of only 1%. This is 1m of a distance of 100m.
While running you will hear a lot about the origin of the island as well as flora and fauna. And of course there are insider tips for restaurants and events.
where to start: Funchal, to be decided
then minibus transfer: to levada and after the run back to the start point
costs: 32€ p.person
